Founded in 1986, Mapendano Voyages is an independent B2B destination management company firmly established in Rwanda and Uganda. With permanent teams in Kigali and Entebbe, we combine deep local expertise with international service standards to ensure reliable, consistent on-the-ground execution for every program.
Independent from lodge groups or integrated brands, we work with both renowned international properties and small boutique lodges — always selecting options that match the traveler’s profile and expectations. How we operate across different travel levels
In practice, most programs fall into three main categories, with Comfort and Standard differing mainly by accommodation level.
Premium
Exceptional lodges, private logistics (including helicopter options when relevant), senior guides and a service approach focused on efficiency, comfort and seamless coordination.
Comfort / Standard
Private or group 4×4 itineraries, with lodges selected according to market level and expected comfort. Transport options vary when needed — from classic road transfers to light-aircraft flights — to ensure the right balance between comfort, efficiency and cost.
Budget / Self-drive
Affordable programs using simple but well-selected accommodations, with cost-efficient logistics and optional self-drive for full autonomy. Assistance from our local teams remains available to keep the journey smooth and reliable.
