Rwanda & Uganda

destinations mastered with expertise

Rwanda and Uganda offer complementary ways to structure itineraries. We help partners choose realistic options and combine regions into coherent, well-paced programs that fit each market level and trip duration.

Rwanda

The ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’ offers gorilla encounters, Big Five safaris, rainforest treks and lakeside relaxation. Depending on the time available, Rwanda can be experienced as a short 3-day extension or explored in more depth over 7–10 days. Longer stays are also possible for travelers who prefer a slower pace.

Volcanoes National Park

World-renowned for gorilla trekking, with golden monkeys, volcano summit hikes and visits to the Dian Fossey site.

Akagera National Park

Rwanda’s only Big Five reserve, featuring rhino trekking, day & night game drives and boat safaris on Lake Ihema.

Nyungwe Forest

One of Africa’s oldest rainforests, home to chimpanzees, colobus monkeys and a range of rainforest treks.

Lake Kivu & Lake Burera

Ideal after trekking: canoeing, islands, the Congo–Nile Trail, coffee plantations and local village life.

Kigali & Surroundings

Modern and well-organized capital with museums, art galleries, the Kigali Genocide Memorial and a good restaurant scene.

Uganda

The Pearl of Africa offers gorilla trekking, tree-climbing lions, dramatic waterfalls and remote wilderness. More varied than the classic savannah destinations, Uganda combines primates, primary forests, lakes and open savannah. Its parks offer striking contrasts: rainforest tracking in Bwindi and Kibale, boat safaris on the Nile and Kazinga Channel, classic game drives in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls, remote landscapes in Kidepo and encounters with pastoral communities in the east.

Bwindi & Mgahinga

Gorilla trekking, golden monkeys, volcano hikes, forest walks and community encounters.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Tree-climbing lions, game drives, Kazinga Channel boat safaris, lion tracking and chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge.

Murchison Falls National Park

Game drives, Nile cruises to the base of the falls, delta boat trips and strong birdwatching opportunities.

Kidepo Valley National Park

Remote wilderness with wide open landscapes, strong wildlife viewing and visits to Ik and Karamojong communities.

Kibale National Park

Primate capital with chimp trekking, crater lakes, forest hikes and the Bigodi wetland sanctuary.

Rwenzori Mountains

Multi-day alpine treks, community walks along the foothills, and the possibility of summiting Margherita Peak.

Lake Mburo National Park

Walking safaris, horseback rides, cycling, boat cruises and night game drives in a compact, easy-to-navigate park.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

The only place in Uganda to track rhinos on foot, with nature walks and wetland birding.

Mount Elgon Region

Forest walks, waterfalls, caves, nature trails and cultural encounters with local communities

Extensions into East Africa

While our core expertise lies in Rwanda and Uganda, we also support seamless extensions to East Africa’s main highlights through long-standing partnerships with trusted local operators. These extensions include Zanzibar and the Indian Ocean islands, as well as Northern Tanzania’s key regions such as Serengeti and Ngorongoro. They allow partners to combine primate tracking, Big Five safaris and beach relaxation within one coherent program managed through a single point of contact.
